Canoe-tastic

Well, the canoe is "done", in that it's all back together, and appears solid. It's not been sanded or painted, but, aside from adding a little drag when we take it out on the lake, it shouldn't matter much. I still don't have any paddles yet, or a PFD, for that matter, but there's still time.

It's pretty heavy, but the yoke cushion I got makes it much easier to carry than it would be otherwise. I did a mock portage in the back yard, to test out how I'd move it around on my own. The back yard isn't very big, but as long as you aren't turning around with a canoe on yer head, it's OK.

I think I scared my neighbours, though -- walking around with a canoe.
